Brands we like

We like brands that are naturally enterprising. We count them as our fine friends, and they earn a spot in our brand hall of fame. We know there are many more out there doing lots of great stuff but these are some of our current favourites:

Howies

Howies logoSome of us read their catalogue last Friday and got quite excited. Both about the lovely ethical clothes but also by their infectious enthusiasm and the way they work. Their website is great too and provides lots of food for thought!

Innocent

Innocent logoOK so they've been around a while now but they never stop inspiring us. They are true entrepreneurs and their daily thoughts keep us going, well daily really. And we like their tasty little drinks. Yum.

The Ideas Man

Shed SimoveWe've just discovered Shed who is an ideas man and he is ace. He thinks up crazy ideas and sometimes asks for people to help him make them happen, via his website. And he does a blog for us which is pretty cool. As is his name.

BBC Your Game

They're a social inclusion project which is running festivals across the UK, with football and street dance and other great goings on. There is some interesting content on their site and they launched the festivals with artwork from Banksy at the Swiss Embassy. Nice one.

Sustainable Fashion

Makepiece sheepWe've linked up with nine cool fashion brands including Makepiece who own their own sheep (!) and Terraplana who make groovy shoes to allow young people the chance to work with one of them to develop a new sustainable fashion range. It's called Make Your Mark in Fashion

Do you work for an enterprising brand?

We love the ideas culture which exists within brands like Virgin and Google – they share ideas internally and give employees space to make ideas happen. More of this please!

To be in with a chance of appearing on this page, tell us about how you are helping young people to make their ides happen.
