Suzy Crowe

Suzy CroweEight years of being a tennis coach gave Suzy the confidence to set up Touch Magazine that promotes young artists. We asked her to tell us her story:

"I have always had a passion for music and have set up a business that is about promoting young artists. I am sure it was eight years of being a tennis coach that really helped me combine my skills with music and my business experience. Above all, it gave me the confidence to start my own business.

I think I’m a natural businesswoman: I use every possible opportunity to make contact with people, to find out what they do and how to connect with them and my artists. I’m lucky because working as a club promoter has brought me in touch with important people in the music industry – but in the end all my work is about making connections. And my work can range from managing a Levi’s store or working for Touch magazine – an urban music magazine. And these help fund my real business, which is my promotion business.

I think the key to success is self-motivation. I’ve had loads of encouragement from family and friends and this has really helped me follow my dreams. My ultimate goal is to own my own record label – and I truly believe that hard work and total commitment to your goal will pay off!"
